Rise Respite's Holiday Giving:
A Season of Support and Gratitude
Over the course of recent years, Rise Respite Resource Solutions Inc. has been dedicated to bolstering the well-being of the community we serve through our committed fundraising initiatives. In the previous year, our collective efforts resulted in successfully raising over $3000, which was wholeheartedly donated to various noteworthy community organizations, including the Knights Table, The Mississauga Food Bank, Wilkson’s Men's Shelter, The Peel Family Shelter, and the Delta Family Center.

This year, our focus has shifted towards a more targeted approach as we've chosen to channel our support toward a specific family facing profound challenges. Amid the ongoing pandemic, this family, consisting of a mother of two, experienced a setback as she lost her job due to illness, rendering her unable to work. Consequently, her husband has assumed the role of the sole provider for the family. The added responsibility of caring for two children with special needs has significantly impacted the family's well-being. Compounding the situation, the mother is scheduled for surgery right before the Christmas holiday, adding an additional layer of stress to an already complex scenario.
This family has leaned on Rise Respite for support in the past, particularly relying on respite services to navigate their unique challenges. However, financial constraints have significantly impacted their ability to access these vital resources, leading to the unfortunate cancellation of respite support. The resulting lack of consistency has taken a toll on the family's dynamics and overall health.

In response to their plight, Rise Respite is stepping up this year by offering free extended respite support services to alleviate the family's burden. Our aim is to give back to this family in need, providing the much-needed relief to the mother during her recovery period so that she can, in turn, offer the necessary support to her children. Despite the widespread challenges posed by the Covid-19 pandemic, we believe in finding ways to assist those facing adversity.
We express our heartfelt gratitude to the families that have supported us in the past, and we hope that, by offering respite support, we can ease the burden on this particular family, providing them with the consistency they desperately need. Any generous donations made to Rise Respite during this holiday season will be directed entirely to this family and their respite fund, ensuring that our collective efforts make a meaningful impact on their lives.
